How it works

Your message stays private while you're here. It's sent only if you stop signing in for a period you choose.

  1. Set up your account securely. Confirm your email (or use Google or Facebook) and, for extra protection, turn on two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.
  2. Write your message. Write as much as you like, with headings, lists and emphasis. It's saved as a draft as you type, and every version is kept. You can create more than one will, depending on your plan.
  3. Attach what words can't carry. Video messages, voice recordings, PDFs, Word documents and photos. Each file is checked for malware before anyone can open it.
  4. Preview, then mark it final. See exactly what your recipients will see. Then enter the email addresses of the people who should receive it, and choose how long you can go without signing in before it's sent, in days or months.
  5. Keep living your life. Every time you sign in, the timer restarts. Nothing is sent while you keep signing in. You can unlock the will (move it back to draft) and change it whenever you like; every change is kept in its history.
  6. We remind you first. If you stop signing in, we email you before the will would be sent: 7, 3 and 1 days before, or on the days you choose. Signing in stops it.
  7. If you don't come back. Each recipient gets an email with a private link. It opens your message and lets them watch your videos, listen to recordings and download your documents. They don't need an account; they confirm a code we email to them.
  8. If it was a mistake. Sign in and choose Stop access. Every link stops working straight away and the will becomes final again.
Recipients receive your message and files. Receiving them doesn't make someone a legal heir or transfer any property.
