Built to protect what matters most
Your will, your messages and your memories deserve more care than an ordinary account. Here is how we look after them.
Locked to you
- You can turn on two-step sign-in: your password plus a code from your phone. We recommend it.
- Your password is never stored in a readable form, not even by us.
- Repeated wrong attempts pause sign-in automatically.
- We email you whenever an important security setting on your account changes.
- Before sensitive actions, such as removing a file or moving a final will back to draft, we ask you to confirm it's really you.
Kept private
- Everything is encrypted on its way between your device and our service.
- Your files are kept in private storage that can't be reached from the internet.
- Every time a file is opened, we check that the person is allowed to see it.
- Every upload is checked for viruses before anyone can open it.
- Regular backups are encrypted and stored separately.
Delivered only to the right people
- A draft is never sent. Only a will you've marked final can be delivered.
- We remind you by email before anything is sent, and one sign-in stops it.
- Each recipient gets their own private link, and must confirm a code sent to their own inbox before it opens.
- Links expire, and can be switched off at any time.
- Our emails never contain your will or your files.
Watched over, always
- Important actions are recorded in a permanent activity log that can't be edited or erased.
- You can review your own recent sign-ins at any time.
- Staff access is limited to the few people who need it, and every look is recorded.
- Our team is alerted automatically if anything unusual happens, so problems are caught early.
Who can see your will
- You, whenever you're signed in.
- Your recipients, only after it has been delivered, and only after confirming their code.
- A very small number of senior administrators, for support and to protect the service. Every time they open a will or a file, it is recorded.
What we never do
- Sell your information or use it for advertising.
- Send a draft, or send anything without warning you first.
- Put your will or your files inside an email.
- Ask for your password by email or phone.
- See or keep your card number. Payments are handled entirely by our card payment provider.
Read the Privacy Notice for exactly what we collect and why.
